5 Ingredient Cheesy Chicken Nuggets

The twins LOVE nuggets but as a parent I really dislike giving my kids processed food, whether it be at home or in their school lunchbox. These nuggets taste great, the kids love them, and with only 5 ingredients they are SUPER easy.

I used to cook my nuggets in the oven to keep them as healthy as I can, but I have discovered a love affair with my air fryer. The fact that they are quick to make and cook in 8 minutes in the air fryer makes batch cooking a dream!

Prep 10 min // Cook 10 min in an air fryer (or 15 min in an oven)

INGREDIENTS

500g chicken mince

1 cup mixed grated cheese (half Parmesan/half tasty)

1 cup of Panko breadcrumbs (plus extra to roll)

2 tbs garlic powder

1 tbs mixed dry herbs

THERMOMIX METHOD

  1. Place the chicken, garlic powder and dry herbs in bowl, mix 4sec/sp5 then scrape down the sides.

  2. Add the breadcrumbs and cheeses, mix 4sec/sp3 then scrape down the sides and repeat.

  3. Using a teaspoon take the mixture and form into nugget shapes. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

  4. Roll the nuggets in the extra Panko crumbs. Air fry at 200 degrees for about 10 miutes or until they are golden and cooked through. (For oven cooking cook at 180 degrees for 10 minutes each side.)

Non-THERMOMIX METHOD

  1. Place all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well until all combined.

  2. Using a teaspoon take mixture and form into nugget shapes. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

  3. Roll the nuggets in the extra Panko crumbs. Air fry at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes or until golden and cooked through. (For oven cooking cook at 180 degrees for 10 minutes each side.)
