Double Baked Ham

Prep 20 min // Cook 45 min


Either a whole leg of ham or half leg ham

Orange marmalade (I use homemade to avoid preservatives but store bought is fine)

3-4 Oranges sliced thin

1-2 cups White wine (I use a Sauvignon Blanc)

Whole cloves (I use one for each orange slice)

Toothpicks to secure the orange


  1. Preheat oven to 120oC.

  2. With a sharp knife carefully remove the rind from the ham and place aside.

  3. Carefully trim away the white fat from the ham.

  4. Place ham in a roasting dish.

  5. Smother the ham in orange marmalade.

  6. Place sliced orange over the entire ham and secure the clove to the orange with a toothpick.

  7. Pour wine slowly over the top of the ham.

  8. Bake for approximately 45 min.

  9. Remove the toothpicks, slice the ham and arrange on platter.
