Weetbix Balls

I will let you in on a secret. As an adult I am not a huge fan of bliss balls. While my twins LOVE them, I am not sure if it's a texture or taste thing with me, but it's one recipe I make that I don't eat.

I do however like these chocolate balls. Definitely not as healthy as bliss balls and a "sometimes" food, but I love the mix of biscuit and Weetbix, and I decided to share this as a treat for home or in a lunchbox.

Prep 15 min

INGREDIENTS

1 pack milk arrowroot biscuits

5 Weetbix

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/3 cup desiccated coconut (plus extra to roll)

395g tin sweetened condensed milk

THERMOMIX METHOD

  1. Place biscuits and Weetbix in a bowl and turbo until they resemble a fine crumb.

  2. Add all remaining ingredients (except extra coconut) and mix 10sec/sp5 until combined.

  3. Roll 1tb into balls and coat with the extra coconut by rolling. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.

Non-THERMOMIX METHOD

  1. Place biscuits and Weetbix in food processor and pulse until they resemble a fine crumb. If you don't have a food processor you can use a rolling pin to crush them in a bag.

  2. Place in a bowl and add all the remaining ingredients (except the additional coconut) and combine well.

  3. Roll 1tb into balls and coat with the extra coconut by rolling. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
